Frances Kay de los Angeles, 80, of Snohomish Washington, passed away on November 18, 2016 in Snohomish Washington.
A viewing, open to the public will begin at 9:00 AM, November 26, 2016 at Sunset Hills Funeral Home, Bellevue WA. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM with a burial service immediately to follow.

Frances Kay de los Angeles, Buteitsa, Woman with Many Paths, was born in Sammamish Washington to Tom Zackuse, and Nina Kellogg, on March 10, 1936. Frances is a Snoqualmie Indian and was born and raised near Lake Sammamish. She lived in Woodinville Washington with her late husband Juan de los Angeles for more than 40 years. For 40 years she worked for the Snoqualmie Indian Tribe in the Health and Social Services Department as CHR Supervisor, Manager of CHR Transportation, Director of Tobacco Prevention. She also helped with the Snoqualmie Food Bank, was a Snoqualmie Casino Commissioner, and was an Enrollment Committee Member. For several years, Frances served as a Snoqualmie Tribal Council Member. She served on the Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board as well as the Indian Policy Advisory Committee, DSHS with a mission to promote tobacco prevention and healthy living. Frances was a skilled traditional Snoqualmie Basket Weaver and wove beautiful pine needle coil baskets and Rafia baskets.
Frances is preceded in death by her husband, Juan de los Angeles, son, William de los Angeles, brother, Jim Zackuse, sister Elsie Erickson, and sister Cora .
Frances is survived by her companion Paul Brien, children: Andres J. de los Angeles, Robert M. de los Angeles, Nina M. Repin, Gil P. de los Angeles, Valentino J. de los Angeles, Francis T. de los Angeles, and Emiliana C. Harris, sister, Joan Smeltzer, 16 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
